The PTFA
The PTFA is open to everyone who is or has been a parent, carer or member of teaching staff. We are responsible for the main fundraising activities within the school, organising events that are fundamental to the inclusion and enjoyment of all pupils, teachers, parents and the wider community.
The PTFA is chaired by Krena Harling, who can be reached at:ststephensschoolptfa@gmail.com
Fundraising
The school community is amazing at raising funds. We aim to make our fundraising events fun and varied, with something for everyone. We have ongoing fundraisers such as second-hand uniform sales and throughout the school year we organise and run events including the Christmas Fair, Quiz Night, Disco and our Summer Fair.
The school PTFA has signed up to a brilliant new online fundraising method called 'easyfundraising'. Basically, retailers donate when you shop with them, particularly online. So you haven't got to do anything other than register an account by following the link below and then whenever you buy something online, go through this website first.

We are always looking for lovely new people to help organise and run events and for new fundraising ideas. If you can help or have a particular talent, we’d love to hear from you!
How we spend the money raised
Our major projects in 2021/2022 were:
- New school library
- New Reception playground
Every year, before any fundraising has begun, we have many items that are funded by the PTFA?
- Playpod Maintenance
- Recorder & Ukele Tuition
- The Week Junior Magazine
- Subscription for classrooms
- Coaches for school trips
- Children’s Christmas Parties
- Financial aid for children on School Residential trips
Want to help?
We would love it if you can help in any way you can…
- Join in at any one of our PTFA meetings (termly and well advertised) held in the Hare & Hounds…any ideas or offers of help to put together fundraising events are always welcome!
- Sign up to Easy Fundraising Every time you spend money on one of their partners’ websites (Amazon, John Lewis etc), they donate small percentages of the total to your chosen charity - at no cost to you: www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/ststephenspribath/
- Donate directly to the school via DONATE MY SCHOOL – website address below. It’s secure and if you are a taxpayer and tick the Gift Aid box, this will add a further 25% on top of your donation at no extra cost to you: https://donatemyschool.com/StStephensBath
Communication
The PTFA communicates with parents via the weekly Friday newsletter, this website and, from time to time, ParentPay email. There is a PTFA noticeboard next to the school office and we meet regularly at PTA Meetings.
Class Representatives (Reps)
Each class nominates one or more Class Reps who help co-ordinate fundraising activities and social events, working closely with the PTFA.
